Job Description
Project Site HSE engineer will be responsible for all HSE work related to the HVDC projects but not limited to the following activities:
- Regulatory compliance: Supports managers and employees to ensure the area of responsibility is compliant with HSE standards, regulations and guidelines.
- Prepares safety instructions and notices and assists with relevant training.
- Risk management: Conducts HSE audits and workplace inspections to identify potential hazards and risks and highlights corrective measures required.
- Operations: Supports implementation of HSE objectives, incident investigations and root cause analyses within the respective organization. Deliver all tasks of responsibility in scheduled time according to agreed milestones
- Continuous improvement: Collects, analyses and reports on HSE performance, identifies problems and makes suggestions to avoid repeating the problem in the future.
- Communication and engagement: Collaborate with managers and employees in order to report on, raise awareness and gain commitment for HSE initiatives and performance.
- HSE Training & Induction: Provide HSE training include induction, on-job training for project staff & workmen as per HSE plan and training requirements
Requirements
Qualification & experience
- Diploma / B.E/ B.Tech in Engineering and full-time Safety course (NEBOSH preferred) with 2 to 4 years of experience in HSE at construction projects will be an ideal fit.
HSE training
- First aid trained by outside professionals (St. John Ambulance Association/Red Cross or American Heart Assn.)
- Fire-fighting – trained in Identification of hazards, selection and use of fire extinguishers in conjunction with fire protection plans.
